Christy Crowell to Serve as Executive Director
Jane Winters, who directed the efforts of the Community Foundation of Mason County- MCCF, Inc. for the past year and the Mason County Community Foundation affiliate of the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) as well as other PACF regional affiliates for past 11 years and crafted their significant growth, plans to start a new chapter in her life as she relocates with her husband at the end of this month to Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. “Over the past 12 years Jane has been instrumental in building and firmly positioning the community foundation as an integral part of the Mason County community. She will be greatly missed by all of us,” commented Mario Liberatore, MCCF, Inc. Board Chairman.
“Following an extensive search for a new Foundation Director, we are happy to announce that Christy Crowell has been hired to assume the Executive Director’s role,” commented Liberatore.
“Christy has strong finance and customer relations experience and has served in a leadership role for several community organizations. She is passionate about the Mason County community and will serve the community and Foundation well. While I am sad to leave this community and the Foundation, I know that it will be in good capable hands with Christy. I know that all the donors, fund holders and volunteers will continue to give Christy the dedication and support that they have generously provided to me over the past 16 years,” commented Jane Winters, MCCF, Inc. Executive Director.
Christy is a native of Jackson County and lives on a farm with her husband David Crowell on the Mason and Jackson County border. She has a strong financial background that includes banking, lending, investing and advising. Christy has been involved in several civic groups in Jackson County including Rotary, Jackson General Hospital Foundation, Cedar Lakes Foundation, and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. She also has gleaned extensive community service experience as the Ripley Rotary Adopt a Family Chairperson for the past three years. Christy resigned from Premier Bank, where she was a manager and loan officer for 5 years to start her career with MCCF, Inc. in the non-profit sector.
I love living in this community, to me there is no better place in the world. The Foundation has a strong dedicated Board of Directors. I intend to serve the wonderful residents of Mason County to the very best of my abilities. I am extremely excited to take on the rewarding task of enhancing the well-being of the Mason County community and developing new avenues of long term, permanent funding support for our county residents.
